Chaired by Prof. Daniel K L Chua and Sir John Tusa, the retreat will explore different aspects of cultural leadership and introduce participants to the concept of authentic leadership. The retreat will set the scene, examining global changes in demographics and technology and considering their implications for the arts, and providing an introduction to cultural policy and cultural districts. There will be an opportunity to learn about the important role of strategic planning in delivering an inspirational vision. The retreat will draw on the experience of a range of leaders, working in the region and internationally, to highlight good practice and will describe different approaches and styles of leadership through practical examples. The retreat will conclude with a public forum in partnership with the British Council.
